Counseling Corner

Ms. Fisher provides whole-class counseling lessons to every K–5 classroom seven times per year. These developmentally appropriate and engaging sessions cover a variety of important topics, including:

  • Introduction to the School Counselor

  • Child Safety

  • Conflict Resolution

  • Perseverance

  • Resilience

  • Self-Esteem

  • Social Skills

Pack-a-Snack Program
The Pack-a-Snack program is once again available this year for any student who may benefit from receiving additional food to take home over the weekend.

School Uniform Assistance
If your child is in need of school uniforms, support is available through clothestokids.org, a local organization that helps families access appropriate school attire.

Kiwanis Club Student Support Programs

  • BUGs (Bringing Up Grades) Program
    This program is open to students in grades 3–5 who earn a C, D, or F in a core subject on their first report card. Students who improve at least one of those grades by the next report card will be recognized with a certificate and a snack at the BUGs celebration.

  • Terrific Kids Program
    Each quarter, teachers will nominate one student from their homeroom as a Terrific Kid. These students will be honored for their positive character and effort with a certificate and a gift bag, courtesy of the Kiwanis Club.
