Welcome to the Fuguitt Elementary Music Room!

The Music Room
At Fuguitt Elementary, every student has the opportunity to explore the joy of music! Through singing, moving, playing instruments, and creating, our students learn the language of music in a fun and engaging way. Each class visits the music room weekly to:

• Sing a wide variety of songs
• Play many different classroom instruments including recorder in 3rd and 4th grade and baritone ukulele in 5th grade
• Move and dance to different styles of music
• Work together on musical games and creative projects

Learning Through Music
Music is an essential part of a well-rounded education, helping students build confidence, teamwork, and creativity. In our music classes, students learn to:

• Read and write basic music notation
• Identify instruments and musical elements
• Express themselves through performance
• Connect music to history, culture, and other areas of learning

Performances and Special Events
Throughout the year, many of our students have the chance to shine on stage! Performances may include:

• 4th & 5th Grade "Gator Chorus" concerts
• All-County concerts, which include Chorus, Orff Ensemble, and World Drumming
• Ignite Youth Choir
• School-wide assemblies

These events bring our community together and celebrate the hard work and talent of our Fuguitt Gator musicians!
